Thank God for technology and most of all thank God for the internet.Online Advertising Market by Search Engine Marketing, Display Advertising, Classifieds, Mobile, Video, Lead Generation, Rich Media.
Before the creation of internet, print media was the one and only way to reach consumers. basically this was the only means organisations could reach people, then technology evolved and the internet was created, with the creation of internet, marketing strategy has taking a new shape, it provides a high level of reach with a very low cost, like we all know online advertising provided a better and easy communication between advertisers and the audience at large.
we have several internet marketing formats such as search engine marketing, digital video, classified among others, search engine marketing is said to be the oldest and still remains the largest marketing share, but as well other online marketing are also very effective because of evolution of communication and technology and smartphone adoption. the main reason for the adoption of online marketing was to optimize cost and increase the number of leads generated.

Bing Ad has now made the changes that costumers are looking for. some couple of month back Bing ad was updated, FY15 is going to be big for search network and personally i know it is because the company is finally following the demands from advertisers. Apart from certain ongoing updates to the ad interface, Bing is also integrated into more third party platforms, which gives more search volumes for advertisers from better operating systems and device for so long. Advertisers ignored the platform because of the lack of managements, issues which recent update and announcements are tackling, so what can you expect to change in FY15?

pumping the volumes
bid suggestion and keyword delivery insight

like we know the search world belongs to Google, guess what Google's new plans is? Google wants to invade the internet with android! At Google's I/O developer conference in San Francisco the big search engine talked about a new host and APIs designed to connect app from peoples car, television, fitness habit and domestic routines to googleplex's data maw, and then further to app developer.
this seems really interesting but this would take Google beyond the ordinary as Google 90 percent revenue comes from advertising so collecting peoples habits in other to target ad was never going to stay confined to smart phones and web browser.
this is whats it would look like, there would be a slide show for your television when its unused , connect most curious costumers to search result most related to that content. say Google serves up a dreamy picture of the maldives, consumers can find out about fight in few clicks right from their television.

What would it look like if the giant social network goes down for more than 24hours? it is a funny question but this would affect a lot of business online as facebook is one of the most important tool for promotion online and apart from that, millions of users around can't do without visiting facebook par day, you can relate to what am talking about i guess, facebook for most users has gone beyond social networking but a part of life, where to share experience and memories with friends and family, but something that could have looked like facebook going dawn for more than 24 hours happened, facebook went down for about 30min or more this morning, this affected every user on facebook, it prevented people from posting on facebook, it also affected facebook mobile and messaging service. Some hours later a spokesman for face book said ‘We resolved the issue quickly, and we are now back to 100 per cent. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.’Wednesday, May 21, 2014

(HealthDay News) -- People who turn to the Internet or iPhone apps for help in controlling their blood pressure may be led astray in some cases, two preliminary studies suggest. In one study, researchers who did a sweep of YouTube videos on high blood pressure found that one-third offered "misleading" information. Most often, that meant the video advocated supplements or other alternative therapies that haven't been scientifically proven to lower blood pressure.
"It's quite concerning," said lead researcher Dr. Nilay Kumar, who is scheduled to present the findings Monday at the annual meeting of the American Society of Hypertension in New York City.
"The videos that were misleading seemed to get a lot more hits than the videos from authoritative sources," said Kumar, a physician with the Cambridge Health Alliance in Massachusetts.
Those authoritative sources included the American Heart Association, medical universities and professional medical societies, Kumar said.
The other study, scheduled for presentation at the same meeting, looked at the accuracy of two home blood pressure devices that people connect to their iPhones. In each case, an app keeps track of their numbers and can send the information to their doctor.
Overall, the study found, both devices were inaccurate when compared with traditional doctor's-office measurements. Across 112 readings taken by the same person, one device gave numbers that were too high -- by an average of 3 to 5 points -- while the other gave numbers that were 5 points too low.
The bottom line? The study "sends a loud and clear message that such technology needs to be vetted against the standard technology before accepting these blood pressure readings at face value," said Dr. Domenic Sica, president-elect of the American Society of Hypertension.
"This technology clearly needs better refinement," said Sica, who was not involved in either new study.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, almost one-third of U.S. adults have high blood pressure. But only about half of them have the condition under control.
Elevated blood pressure increases your risk for heart disease and stroke, the leading causes of death in the United States.
It's important that people with high blood pressure be "self-empowered" to take part in their own care, Sica said. But they also have to be careful about their sources of information.
Since so many people get health information online, Kumar's team wanted to check the accuracy of blood pressure information on YouTube -- a site that draws more than 1 billion "unique users" each month, according to the company.
The researchers searched the site using the terms "high blood pressure" and "hypertension," and ended up screening 176 videos -- a small sampling of the total hits their search retrieved.
Overall, the majority of the videos were deemed "useful." They included information on how high blood pressure develops and how to prevent and treat it. But one-third provided misleading information, Kumar's team found.
Often, those videos focused on supplements or other therapies that aren't proven to lower blood pressure -- such as L-arginine, garlic and coenzyme Q10 supplements, according to Kumar.
Many also featured ads for the products, which "suggests they were driven by financial motivations," Kumar said.
If you go online for blood pressure information, he suggested you stick with reliable sources such as the American Heart Association or the U.S. National Library of Medicine website Medline Plus.
Sica agreed. As for iPhone blood pressure devices, he said questions remain. It's not clear, for example, how they stack up against traditional home blood pressure monitors, he noted.
But those traditional devices are not all the same, either. In general, the heart association and other groups advise people to use automated (rather than manual) monitors that have an arm cuff. Devices that take wrist or finger measurements are less reliable.
Data and conclusions presented at meetings are typically considered preliminary until published in a peer-reviewed medical journal.

here is an article pulled together by Dr David Lowenstein talking about how the internet may be a affecting our life style because virtually all we do now is on the internet, from studying to communicating , advertising and sevral other vital and very important life activity.
Breakdown of Communication
Our growing dependence on the Internet has dramatically changed the way we communicate with others. Instead of talking to people or spending time with them, we often resort to less personal forms of communication like texting or emailing. There’s nothing wrong with using these methods of communication, but they lack voice inflection and emotion, and that often confuses or frustrates people. At the same time, these less personal forms of communication make it easy to ignore the people we’re with. It’s sad to see friends out to dinner who are looking at their phones instead of each other. So, while the information on our smart phones may be fascinating, let’s be careful not to miss out on the joy that comes from personal relationships with family or friends.
Increased Need for Instant Gratification
The Internet has taught us that everything and everyone is available at the touch of a button. Gone are the days of relying on “snail mail” to connect with people far away. While I’m thankful for the increased technology and how it helps us connect with people around the world, I worry about our increasing dependence on instant gratification. When we know that people are able to send and receive texts and emails instantly, we inadvertently impose unrealistic expectations on others and on ourselves. We live in a technological age where people expect others to drop everything to respond to a text, email or tweet.
Inability to Focus on the Present
The advent of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram has created an obsessive need to share our personal lives with the world. Many people have trouble “living in the moment” because they are too busy sharing the “moment” with everyone else. This constant need to peer into the lives of others can open the door for feelings of jealously, judgment and neglect.
Effect on Children
Internet addiction affects young people in many ways, from sleep deprivation, to social withdrawal, to poor grades. Children who are allowed unrestricted access to the Internet can encounter harmful information that may be dangerous to their well being. Cyber bullying is a serious issue among young people, and it can create lasting mental and emotional effects. Internet predators should also be a concern. Many of these individuals are extremely tech-savvy and constantly on the lookout for new ways to connect with children.
What You Can Do
When it comes to technology, here’s how you can create a healthy balance:
- Set time and usage restrictions for your entire family.
- Set aside specific times for responding to emails or reading text messages.
- Avoid distractions from your smart phone by turning it off or moving it out of sight.
- Establish boundaries for your kids regarding cell phone, social media and Internet usage.
- Create an honest dialogue with your kids about their Internet usage, and familiarize yourself with the people, websites and apps they connect with.

here is a very interesting question i would want you to ask your self? would you want to create something that would last long and keep bringing money in or something that would bring money in for some months and later fades into the thin air? your answers would defiantly be that you want to create something that would bring in money for as long as the internet still exists.
The reason why i asked this question is while growing in world of internet marketing i have meet quite a number of online gurus, theses people are extra ordinarily good but because of certain mistakes and wrong decisions they have made in the past they do not have any thing online, what they have always comes and go. how? if you are someone that stay online and do use Google really well you would see several kinds of internet marketing strategy that drives money in really fast without owning a web site, all you do is use these strategies to make cool money, what i think is that these method of generating income is quite OK as well, but starting and maintaining this method is really unfriendly, if you are someone that has to cover a lot of expenses, i would strongly advise you not to go into this methods of generating income online unless you have a website or a blog which still pays you.
The most friendly way to generate income online is to own a webpage, even one web site is OK, where you can generate traffics for what ever you choose to promote or talk about , your audience get to trust you and also would want to purchase any thing you wish to offer, when your motive online alone is to get as much money as you want, then you would have problems growing financially and also knowing the basics of maintaining an online business, i meet a guy who is really into online marketing and know pretty good and very valuable stuffs about generating income online and several other things, but he has a problem maintaining his online income and also generating more because he believes in short while income generating methods, so my advise for you is to put something that would last online, according to Nigeria blog queen, linda ikeji
her blog is her only source of income, she has worked really hard to build up good relationship between her and her audience. always put this at the back of your mind, the most important thing is that you get people to like what you do online, even if its one person that givings you attention today on your web page, don't give up, keep working hard someday you would start making your dollar without worry.

It was said that by the end of 2014, internet users would increase drastically and we would have more than 3 billion users, most users of the the internet would be coming from developing world – with mobile-broadband penetration approaching 32 per cent.
“Very newly released ICT [information and communications technology] confirm once again that information and communication technologies continue to be the key drivers of the information society,” said Hamadoun I. Toure, ITU Secretary-General.
“Behind these numbers and statistics are real human stories. The stories of people whose lives have improved thanks to ICTs,” said Mr Sanou, adding “our mission is to bring ICTs into the hands of ordinary people, wherever they live. By measuring the information society, we can track progress, or identify gaps, towards achieving socio-economic development for all.”

Among those large amount of users all over the world, over three quarters are from developed countries while two-thirds come from the developing world. Moreover, people from developing countries make up for more than 90 per cent of those who are not yet using the Internet.
internet has also been growing In Africa, about one-fifth of the population will have access to the Internet; while in the Americas, nearly two-thirds of the population will be online by the end of the year. Further, Europe has the highest Internet penetration rate of 75 per cent, while the Asia-Pacific region has the largest population of Internet users.
Turning to mobile-broadband penetration, the number of its subscriptions will achieve 2.3 billion globally. 55 per cent of them are expected to be in the developing world. As shown in the ITU statistics, mobile-broadband remains the fastest growing market segment, with continuous double-digit growth rates in 2014. In addition, Africa takes the lead in its growth, from 2 percent in 2010 to almost 20 percent in 2014. Compared to the spike of mobile-broadband, fixed-broadband, however, reflects slowing growth in the developing world. The ITU report expects its penetration to reach 10 per cent by end 2014. Similar to Internet subscriptions, Asia-Pacific region also dominates the most users in fixed-broadband, while Africa has the least, with lower than 0.5 per cent of its population.
Regarding mobile-cellular, a significant step towards which subscriptions is that the number will reach 7 billion by end of 2014, with developing countries home to over 75 per cent among the users. This increase indicates the growing markets in the developing world.
Even as the worldwide growth trend of these ICTs continues, fixed-telephone penetration, however, lags behind. According to ITU, fixed-telephone users have been declining for the last five years. In addition, there will be about 100 million fewer subscriptions than in 2009.
ITU statistics are widely recognized as the world’s most reliable and impartial global data on the state of the global ICT industry. They are used extensively by leading intergovernmental agencies, financial institutions and private sector analysts worldwide.

Retailers now uses printrest really well to promote their products online, like we all know pintrest is a social network that allows users to create collections of photos,
articles, recipes, videos and other images that are called "pins," to
draw business to their own sites. the retailers interest in this social network site start to increase when they realize the power of the site as different people are spending time opining and posting photos online, they also can be encouraged to spend money.
The way pinterests works has also made it friendly for retailers to take advantage of the interesting social network even though it is a new site its remarkable difference has made it unique, its allows Users bookmark images they find on the web under topics they create. So when users pin an image, Pinterest displays any picture that is associated with it. The effect is similar to a bulletin board: Pins are organized under topics called "boards." Users can follow other people's boards.
pinterest is becoming very popular among artist, designers, hobbyists and most especially among teens. A search for "red shoes," for instance, could turn up thousands of pins. The site also can be slightly addictive to regular users: Log on for minutes and some users wind up spending hours trawling through boards over and over.
Pinterest is the fourth-largest social media site, with 58.2 million unique users in March 2014, according to research firm comScore. It's behind only Facebook with 198.8 million users, Twitter with 114.3 million users and LinkedIn with 71.7 million users, comScore reports.

Have you heard about this wonderful tools? here is the best article spinner! i guess not!
I'm no expert in this internet marketing, but I have to say that The Best Spinner has been my second most used tool so far.
I guess I will start by saying that I'm new like you to the whole online marketing world but am growing really fast and working really smart (in a few months it will be two years since I started).
Nevertheless in the beginning it was overwhelming the amount of tools and marketing services available. As a rookie I spent perhaps more than what I could afford. After buying at least $500 dollars in tools I only use 5 of them. One of them is The Best Spinner.
My recommendation for all the new marketers is simple, The BEST spinner is an ESSENTIAL tool for internet marketing. Although you might be deciding whether or not to buy this software over another, I will just say that if there is anything you should bother buying, it is this amazing tool.. click here for more info on the best spinner

This is one
question that creative thinkers would ask their selves, actually I see myself
as one. Why do you think I asked this question? You know, there is something about
starting up a very new business, that kind of business that really looks new
and different from what has been existing before, and the business is been
executed by a very intelligent person, someone that actually have a real passion for the perticular business, you know what? That kind of business stays forever.
Facebook
and Google are gods on this space no dough, lets first talk about google, Google
is an American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related

system and the browser-only Chrome OS for a netbook known as a Chromebook, In
December 2013 Alexa listed google.com as the most visited website in the world.
Numerous Google sites in other languages figure in the top one hundred, as do
several other Google-owned sites such as YouTube and Blogger, google is just so powerful now that it seems
like no one can battle the mighty website and they keep growing day by day…now
lets talk about, Facebook is an online social
networking service. Its name comes from a colloquialism for the directory given
to students at some American universities, Facebook was founded on February 4,
2004 by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellow Harvard
University students Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris
Hughes, it was incially meant serve the students of havard university only but
later extenteded to several part of America and the world at large, In late
2007, Facebook had 100,000 business pages (pages which allowed companies to
promote themselves and attract customers). These started as group pages, but a
new concept called company pages was planned, like we all know now facebook is
the largest online community, no dough these two websites are gods on this
space, I hope we would have another set of creative thinkers like these website
creators to come up with something totally different like these websites, I know
there are very interesting websites now and also very powerful once but am so
very much inspired by these two.

Would you
choose to pay someone to actually get a job done for you on the internet when
you can take your time to study the internet and invest wisely instead of
paying to a third party to get your job done then you expect to get paid. That
explained.
I know
there are websites that offer help to bloggers and forum owners, what these
websites actually offer is to help you organize your blog, they promise to take your blog
to top Google rank and few other interesting features they offer, the truth
about it is that they might be right about the opportunity you might be losing
online maybe because of few things you are missing or you have not introduced
to your web page yet.
But why
waste your money when you could actually take your time to study how this thing
really works, even these days most of these website that promises all these
features end up been fraudulent web pages, for example if you use Google very
well try and search for “HOW TO GET A VERIFIED PAYPAL ACCOUNT IN NIGERIA” you
would be amazed when you land on the Webpage that want to offer help, if you
are wise enough you would ask yourself, “why would I pay money into the bank
account of someone I do not know”?and apart from that there is no guaranty that
your job would be done, this is one of the disadvantage of the internet, anybody
get to create anything no mater your level of understanding ,so the people with
negative thinking are here to rip the money they haven’t worked for, so you should be careful with the kind
of webpage you visit to get help, the knowledge is free, so many e books
online, writes ups and several other rich information to help you get started,
take advantage of such things online and forget about paying anybody to get
anything, today I have a verified PayPal account as a Nigerian, I got my
account wisely, if I had paid unknown people on the internet to get the job
done I would still be on the same spot, so it is wiser to know about something
even if you might still need to pay for it, the most important thing is to know
about it fully before taking any action.

I
have talked about advertising before so this topic shouldn't be new, if you
have study how to monetize whatever it is you are doing online you would know
one of the most common and most powerful monetizing methods is advertising on
your blog, website or forum. How does this works?
It is
called Standard display advertising, which can include graphics, text and/or
rich media. This is for Good reason. It is a mature, established way of
generating revenue and there are many Tools and services that exist to
facilitate it, which makes it easy to get started with. Display advertising is a term that encompasses the various formats and
techniques used by ad networks and advertisers to display ads to visitors of
your we page, The techniques will vary, with each having its own upsides and
downsides and it is important to understand the nuances of these techniques so
that you are giving yourself the best chance for success.
Should
you add advertisement right away?
Some people think it is not really a cool thing to start adding
advertisement right away but for me personally I think it is cool to have ad
right way even if you are not making any money yet.
If
you have people join your site or blog when it has no ads, those people may
Expect
that your webpage will never have ads, as unfair as that may sound. So if you
plan to have ads in the future, it may be a good idea to just add a few now.
If
you are reading this, there is a good chance that you have already launched your
webpage and they may even be well established. But, if you happen to just be
planning to launch your webpage, keep these thoughts in mind.
With
that said, we’re just getting started. Display advertising is but the tip of
the iceberg.

Staying
online can be really unfriendly sometimes because it sometimes leaves you with
so many other things undone, but if you want to grow online you must stay
online like everyday to updated several things, examples are your social platforms,
facebook, twitter, pintrest etc… these are where you get most of your traffics
from, so if you are not keeping them up to date you might not be growing
online.
I
understand as a beginner you might have problem staying online every time
because of several other things you have to get done, but my advice for you is
that if you are really interested in making money from this space then you must
create a good time to update your online presence, like I said before there is
no short cut to this thing you need time to grow.
There are
several ways of staying connected, the mobile device is one, thank God for
android ,if you have an android mobile device you can update your site, blog
etc… and do several other things anywhere you are, so you don’t have to stay on
pc all day, also you can update your social platforms from your device as well.
So with all
I have said, if you still think you would not have the time then the internet
business is not your thing, you should stick to your job or find other alternative
because to make real money online you must be ready to sacrifice your time to
growing your online community, blog or website
